Marvon Pebbles
by Robert Messick
Marvon Pebbles found some pebbles,
by a river puddle.
He picked the pebbles one by one,
and put them in a purple kettle.
After cleaning all his pebbles,
Marvin seemed a little muddled.
What shall I do with all my pebbles, pondered Marvon Pebbles.
He thought and thought for just a little.
And sure enough he solved the riddle.
I'll go downtown and peddle pebbles from my purple kettle.
And after selling all his pebbles
he rode his bike,
and peddled back,
to the river puddle.
